Face of FOX heads WEST
As some of you may or may not have noticed I have been away for a spell… And I was recently asked to write a little bit about what in the world the Face of FOX does when I am not here at the station (2kasa FOX). Because when I am here it is quite possible that I will find myself doing just about anything… From ridding horses to flying airplanes or even paddle boarding with Mayor R.J. Berry. So as you can tell I am a bit of thrill seeker but on my time away my wife and I piled our two dogs in the car and headed west… We stopped in Arizona to visit meteorite city. Which if your not familiar it is a site where a meteorite the size of Volkswagen fell from space and left a considerable hole in our blue planet. If you have never been there I recommend it thoroughly. The size of that crater will certainly cause you to look to the heavens and ponder it all! Further west as we go… Finds your Face of FOX in Los Angeles California where I met up with some old friends and played some hoops which I am proud to say I DOMINATED thanks to Santa Fe’s 7,500 ft altitude…. Sorry guys. I wrapped up our stay with a traditional round of golf at the historic Los Felliz par 3. And well my superior lung capacity did not help me out on this particular venture but none the less I had a blast, hot dog, ice cold beer and a few lost golf balls perfect afternoon.
As the trip progressed we continued west out to the Sierra Nevada’s to Carson City which is where my wife is from, we were traveling to surprise her parents for their 40th anniversary. When we arrived our cover was blown thanks to my wife not being able to keep a lid on it, oh well. We arrived to some eager friends and some familiar faces and an 80 degree pool. Hey someones got to do it! As the sun set we planned our next few days and for me most days begin with a run so I wont bore you with those details but we did find time to do some white water rafting. Okay it was more like white water floating in the Trukee River which feeds into Lake Tahoe. All in all it was beautiful and if you find yourself in Lake Tahoe please do it. The next adventure was kayacking in Lake Tahoe. I challenge anybody to find a prettier lake wow beautiful clear blue water. I will warn you it is always ice cold even in July. The following days were met with several rounds of golf which I love to do. I guess that’s because I am sucker for punishment and like to loose golf balls
We did mange to find some time for some drinks and live entertainment and I of course always squeeze in some playground hoops. In the end we had 2 much fun but I have to admit I couldn’t wait to get back home to Santa Fe and resume my place here in Albuquerque as the Face of FOX at 2kasa FOX because I truly do love New Mexico and this job!
