Tuning up my Baseball Skills at GAS AthleticsJanuary 17th, 2013 at 4:05 pm by michaelnewman under Face of Fox
This week I got to work on baseball skills with some former Pro’s. Now I have to say, I haven’t picked up a baseball in probably 6 years, but like they say, its like riding a bike. At least, that’s what I thought.
But I quickly realized that I wasn’t as skilled as much as I thought I was; when I saw some 15 year old high school guys hitting balls virtually effortlessly, and I was hitting 3 out of 10.
But all in the name of television of course! My work there was to do a story on GAS Athletics, a local fitness and baseball training facility with professional 1 on 1 instruction and group training classes; Started by Sean Kramer, a former Monzano High School and Professional Ball player, and his brother.
I got to talk with him about what kind of training they do and what the response has been in the 2 months they have been open. And he told me it has been nothing short of awesome. The facility really has all the equipment to get high schoolers and professional athletes to the top of their game.
I learned more about baseball training in the 30mins I was with Sean, than I had learned in my whole life. The guy is a wealth of knowledge! And he even got me in the batting cage so I could work on my swing.
As you can tell, I was stoked to brush up on my skills.
Thanks Sean for the interview and I will be back for one of your killer workouts! To get more information about Gas Athletics go to https://www.facebook.com/GasAthletics
