Albuquerque Christian Childrens Home…giving NM Kids a safe place to liveFebruary 18th, 2013 at 3:52 pm by michaelnewman under Face of Fox
This past week I got the opportunity to highlight a non-profit in Albuquerque that specializes in giving a warm and safe home for New Mexico kids. Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home is a place where kids can be part of healthy family atmosphere when they otherwise wouldn’t be. It is not an orphanage by any means, they have house families with full time house parents that support and nurture them.
I got to sit down and talk to Sharon, one of the house moms and ask her what is so special about this home, and why she does what she does.
I was glad to hear such success stories about some of the kids who have come out of ACCH and have gone on to be successful business people and athletes. It really showed me what kind of impact one organization can do to change a person’s life.
Thank you to Sharon and for all the staff at ACCH for letting me into your home and sharing your story. For more information about Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home go to their website: http://acch4kids.org/
