Actor/director Seth McFarlane is coming to New Mexico to film his latest project, “A Million Ways To Die In The West”.  It’s expected to go into production early May 2013 and the movie will be a step out of the box for the director. Elizabeth Gabel Productions is looking for extras specifically men with grown out mustaches and facial hair as well as Native Americans.

If you want to be an extra you can have your headshot taken this month at a town hall meeting hosted by the New Mexico Film Office; they will be passed on to extra casting directors. The town hall meeting is April 18, 2013 at the Harwood Museum of Art in Taos, NM. Headshots will be taken at 6:00 pm followed by a meeting on the state of the New Mexico film industry including an update about legislation, the outlook going forward, and the opportunities available to New Mexicans. The meeting gets underway at 7 and will last about 2 hours. The town hall is free and open to all. Those who already have a headshot are encouraged to bring them to the meeting and fill out the extras casting information registration form.
