Deanna Sauceda and Maria Grundy joined Nikki to talk about Cuidando Los Ninos, a organization that provides childhood education programs to address the unique needs of homeless children. They are working on a CLN Project where homeless children video record 24hrs of their life.
Jim Cady from the Vortex Theatre, a venue for contemporary and cutting edge theatre, gave some information about the production of “The Front Page”, a madcap comedy, which opens this weekend.
Dave Herndon, Editor-in-Chief of New Mexico Magazine discussed two great unique treasures only found in New Mexico. The magazine featured Chaco Canyon and the Petroglyphs as beautiful destinations in New Mexico.

New Mexicans showed their support for the victims of the Boston bombings on Saturday. The Albuquerque Isotopes set-up a special drive-thru fundraiser just outside the ballpark. Each person who donated to the “Batting For Boston” cause received a voucher good for one free homegame ticket. Money raised will go directly to “The One Fund Boston” group.
The Abq Biopark has a new beautiful giraffe. June the giraffe had a baby on Saturday morning. Te newborn was on it’s feet and walking within forty minutes.
The backyard beekeeping workshop kicked off this weekend at the Albuquerque open space visitor center. The introductory class taught folks the basics of beekeeping, including how to avoid enduring the wrath of the insects.
The New Mexico Business Coalition has been passing around a petition opposing the new minimum wage… Saying it could actually put people out of a job.
