Red Cross New Mexico CEO, Rahim Balsara, came on the show to give the details about the Real Heroes Award Breakfast happening Tuesday, May 21st.

Julie Hirshfield, came by to give more information about Rio Grande Community Farm. It is a urban farm and community garden dedicated to organic food, wildlife, and education. It’s a perfect place for city dwellers to get a rural experience this summer.

New Mexico Style photographer, Kenny Hatchitt captured the 47th anniversary of the Sandia Peak Tramway. The Tram is the worlds longest, providing breathtaking views, the best hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, and dining.

Roadrunner Foodbank’s Communications Officer, Sonya Warwick, came and talked about the state of hunger in New Mexico and about the big food drive they are having this Saturday.

Sports and Wellness provided some information about their “Mommy and me” classes to help moms ease back into shape and bond with their babies.

Our Face of Fox, Michael Newman and KRQE Morning News Anchor cook up another healthy snack for parents. Today it was Peanut Butter Granola Balls.

Kachina, the snow leopard who lives at the ABQ Biopark gave birth to two healthy cubs Friday! The cubs were nursing the first day. This is Kachina’s sixth litter and she has 11 cubs total. Mother and cubs will be behind the scenes for a few months before the public can see them.

The Duke City is getting major national recognition. In an article titled “Time to revisit underappreciated Albuquerque”, The USA Today recognizes what it calls “One of the West’s Most Unique City.”

Nate Berkus is producing a new home makeover show “renovation nation” and is scouting properties in New Mexico. This bold new series will travel across the country one city at a time with teams of designers and home renovators tackling two new homes each week.

Governor Susana Martinez has launched the state tourism department’s summer promotion — “New Mexico True Stories.” The 14-week contest encourages people to travel the state and share their true stories for a chance to be named the “ultimate New Mexico Insider” and win a cash prize.
