Megan Mayo joined us on the show to talk about the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Give away in conjunction with the movie release of “Saige Paints the Sky”. The giveaway is a vacation package that was inspired by the new movie which is about a girl setting out to save her school’s art and music programs.
Anja Winikka joined us to talk about TheKnot.com ranking Taos as one of the best exotic honeymoon destinations. We found out what there is to do for newlyweds in Taos as well as some of the other great destinations.
Melanie Velasquez and Brian Boulware, Co-owners of Titanium Fitness Mobile Boot Camp joined us at the station to show us their mobile service for a serious workout.
Karyn and Jim West, owners of A Cake Odyssey joined us in our Builders Source Kitchen to talk about their specialty wedding cakes and brought some delicious pastries.

Last month the New Mexico Activities Association changed its rules to accommodate transgender students in school sports and other activities. The new rules say students can play sports and be involved in other activities based on the gender on their birth certificate, or their amended birth certificate. Amending a birth certificate means getting a letter from the doctor who performed the gender re-assignment surgery.
If you’re looking for work there are a couple of metro area job fairs happening today that we want to let you know about. At least 17 local entities including government – health care – investment – beverage and food industry companies — have been invited to a job fair today being hosted by state senator Michael Padilla. It starts at 10AM this morning and runs until 2pm. It’s at Harrison Middle School at 3912 Isleta Boulevard SW– behind south valley library.
Also, the New Mexico Broadcasters Association is holding a virtual job fair today. There are jobs in news, advertising sales, promotion, engineering and business administration. You can log onto broadcastersvirtualjobfair.com to get information about the kinds of jobs available in the local broadcasting industry including here at KRQE.
