Dr. Veronica Bingamon from ABQ Petcare joined us on the show to talk about Parvo, a highly contagious disease that attacks dogs in their intestinal tract. She talked about the symptoms of the disease and how to prevent it.

Award-winning speaker and former Albuquerque resident Stephen Garber came on the show to talk about the importance of partnerships in the workplace.

For our Small Business Spotlight, we got a glimpse into a 122 acre Nature Park in Edgewood called Wildlife West Nature Park which is dedicated to native wildlife and ecology

At the end of the show we got an amazing performance from famous musician Ryan McGarvey after his 3 month long tour across Europe. He graced our stage with a performance to preview his concert that is happening tonight at the Zoo Music Concert Series. Tonight at the Biopark starting at 7:30.

In the Community

This is 11-year-old Ulysses Yarbrough from Santa Fe, earlier this month he beat out 350 contestants from around the country to set an American record at the USA National Youth Weightlifting Championships in St. Joseph, Missouri. At just 4-foot-8, Ulysses has etched his name into the record books with a snatch of 99 pounds … And a clean-and-jerk of 121 pounds.

The isotopes are an invaluable part of the Duke City, but now we know they’re actual value — 30 million bucks! The Topes come in at number seven on Forbes new list of the top ten most valuable minor league teams. In case you’re wondering, the most valuable minor league team is the Sacramento Rivercats, worth 38-million.

For one family last night’s Isotopes game was a hit out of the ball park. Ron Marrujo and his family thought they were being honored as part of a military families appreciation ceremony in the middle of the fifth inning. But with the help of the isotopes, his wife Major Carol Marrujo was able to surprise her family with an early homecoming. Carol has been serving a year in Afghanistan and was expected home tomorrow.
