Runnin’ out to get my costume!

October 29th, 2013 at 8:32 am by under 2 KASA Style

Hey gang,

Another busy day for me right after our show, so I’m chiming in before we air.  Think this is going to be a great day on Style.  If you’re a fan of country music, be sure you’re with us at the top of the hour as I’ll be talking live via satellite with Trace Adkins.  He has a new Christmas album dropping today, infused with a Celtic theme.  Get the details -then go get the album.  Hey, I know we’re still not past Halloween -but in my book, it’s NEVER too early for Christmas music!

We’ll also be talking with the organizers of Doggie Dash and Dawdle -the biggest pet party of the year.  The event is this weekend and promises tons of fun for your four-legged friends.

And the Public Academy for Performing Arts, affectionately known as PAPA, has produced a site-specific dance film that is winning awards at festivals nationwide.  Find out how they made the film and where you can see it!

If you have questions about the Affordable Care Act and how it will impact you here in New Mexico, you’ll want to plan on attending the New Mexico “Be Covered Care Fair” this weekend, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Event organizers will be in the studio with details about who can benefit from this vital information.

And we’ll be munching away on Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake pizza.  Find out what they have waiting for you just in time for Halloween.  Join the Take-and-Bake revolution, y’all!

I’ll be scouring the city for a certain costume hoping to sport on Thursday.  Did you get your costumes yet???

  1. Hi Chad!
Don’t forget to check out Albuquerque’s thrift stores! They have a great selection. How do I know? I happen to be Thrift Town’s “Thrifty over 50″ fashion blogger! I live in Tijeras and source all my clothes at their ABQ store. I’d like to come on 2 KASA Style and show your audience how stylish someone could look wearing clothing found at ANY of our ABQ thrift stores. I’m a total label hunter. At Family Thrift I found a Dolce and Gabbana blouse, BRAND NEW WITH TAGS for only $5.99! At Saver’s I found a Ralph Lauren Crested Blazer, and at Thrift Town, a pair of Michael Kor’s pants…just to name a few. Here are links to both of my blogs. THANKS! Darlene Fadem

      Hey Darlene!
Thanks for the tip. Actually, Thrift Town’s top on my list for my specific costume. I ended up shooting and editing some really fun segments that will air tomorrow and Friday, so TODAY’s the day! Thanks for watching and again -thanks for the tip! :)
