Happy Thanksgiving!November 28th, 2013 at 11:18 am by chadbrummett under 2 KASA Style
Happiest of Thanksgivings to you, New Mexico. I hope you’re having a wonderful day and enjoying your time with family, friends and the ones you love. We’re grateful for you, our audience, for being with us in the mornings and celebrating all things that make our state great. New Mexico is truly a magical place to live during the fall (and all times of the year), but nothing beats the smell of cedar and piñon wafting from the fireplace, while feasting on posole, possibly a green chile turkey and watching the Cowboys (hopefully, in this blogger’s world) take home another “W”.
It’s also time to reflect on what we have and help those that have not. This year, more New Mexicans are in need of food, warm clothing and basic necessities. Organizations like the Storefront, Joy Junction and others work tirelessly to brighten the season for those less fortunate. Be sure to make a donation (no matter the size) part of your holiday traditions. We are a great community that comes to the aide of our neighbors and for that -I’m thankful to be a native.
So go out, enjoy the season, eat, drink (responsibly) and be merry.
