Stylin’ in a winter wonderland!

December 5th, 2013 at 10:53 am by under 2 KASA Style

You enjoying the winter weather this morning?  KVD is telling us that if we MUST be on the road, to be safe.  However, the best advice is to stay home, make some coffee and stay tuned to 2 KASA and KRQE for up-to-the-minute weather conditions, school closings and more (BTW- APS is saying that if you wish to pick up your kids from school, you may do so.  Otherwise, busses will be running on schedules (that’s as of 10:40am).

Our show today is all about gift-giving.  Giving the gifts of beauty with Kristie and Dr. Dean Bair at Bair Medical Spa.  They’re sharing with us the latest and greatest in skin care and cosmetics to put under the tree this holiday season.  More online at

We’re also giving the gift of art with the Harwood Art Center.  Julia Mandeville is in the studio talking about the 12 x 12 auction and fundraiser this weekend.  You can pick an incredible work from professional and emerging artists and help fund this great organization.

How about the gift of a forever friend?  If you’re looking to adopt a pet, this is the weekend to do so.  Pet Food Gone Wild is hosting the annual Adopt-A-Thon at Haynes Park this weekend.  They’re looking to collect food, gently-used toys and bedding for our pets.  While you’re there, you can get your pics taken with Santa (your PET with Santa, that is).

How about a gift for the man in your life.  Golden Eagle in Nob Hill has a ton of options for the rough and rugged fella.  Beautiful jewelry, watches, wallets, knives and more, we’re getting the breakdown from Kerry Elich.

And lastly, AFME is giving you the gift of a public screening of the Christmas classic Christmas Vacation.  I’m sitting down with Ivan Wiener and Lainie Quirk talking about the cool things going on this weekend for the Nob Hill Shop and Stroll.  If you have a Breaking Bad fan in your life, you can pick up a great original painting themed after the show from famed speed-painter Mike Ostraski.

Stay bundled up out there, New Mexico!
