Question of the Day

  • With the holidays here what we want to know from you at home is: What is your favorite holiday decoration?

Tweet @2kasafox, Facebook and comment below to tell us what you think.

On 2 KASA This Morning

2 KASA this morning is all about whetting your appetite when it comes to all goodies and sweets. Today is no different as David Romero gets the sweet assignment at Señor Murphy Candymaker where they mix the kick and salty of green chile smothered in chocolate.

Around the holidays it can be a little tough to bake for those that prefer or have to eat gluten-free. But there is one place that offers a variety of fresh backed gluten-free items for you to enjoy. Joining us is Ann Merrick, the general manager from Great Harvest Bread. And then owner Bill Dial joins the conversation to talk about hand-baked-from-scratch holiday breads and sweets.

We are continuing with our “12 days of Thriftmas.” Thrift Town is helping you get crafty with your gifts for the holidays all while saving you a lot of money. So take a break and check out what is in store for the second day of Thriftmas.

So many of you are getting ready to travel to see loved ones for the holidays or perhaps just take a family trip.  Our local traveling mom Paola Trousdale is here with some advice on making traveling with children less stressful.

A big part of the holidays are the parties, and there is one kind of party that has really become popular: the ugly Christmas sweater party. We want to see what you come up with this year, so send us your ugly Christmas sweater pictures from your party or one that you attend. Just go to 2 KASA Club and select Holiday as your subject.

Everybody loves those holiday lights and displays, but if you’re not careful they can quickly turn into a Christmas disaster. Britny Fudge from pnm has some safety tips to help make sure that doesn’t happen to you.

If you love a yummy-smelling and good-looking home for the holidays–and who doesn’t?–or if you’re looking for a homemade gift idea, then you’ll love what we’ll show you courtesy of craft specialist Tiffany Price from Michael’s arts and crafts stores.

If you’re looking for a fun holiday tradition or just something fun to do anytime, head on over to the Build-a-Bear Workshop. Ginnie Collier, the chief workshop manager at the Cottonwood Mall, tells us more.

Tomorrow on 2 KASA This Morning we’ll tell you how you can take part of the jingle bell walk and run happening this weekend in old town. And we’ll give you a sneak peak at the Moscow Ballet’s “Nutcracker” with a soloist ballerina. All this and more starting Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. on 2 KASA This Morning.

It’s been very cold in parts of the state, so much so it’s caused a ford truck to freeze. This picture was sent in to us anonymously from Las Vegas.
