Gifts, gifts and more gifts!

Where are you on YOUR shopping?  Almost done?  Midway through?  Haven’t even started (c’mon, admit it)?

No sweat, we’ve got some great ideas for you this holiday season.

Starting with the incomparable Gertrude Zachary and their extensive line of uniquely New Mexican jewelry, apparel and accessories.  Adriana Palacios of the Jewelry Outlet location on 15th & Lomas stopped by to share some examples of the unique, hand-made items you can stock your stuffings with this season.  Hit up their shops this year for a gift your friends and family will truly adore.

If you have a fine wine and spirit connoisseur on your list, stop by Jubilation in Albuquerque for a variety of gift sets, locally-brewed beers and one of the largest assortments of spirits this side of the Mississippi!  Owners, and siblings Arik and Tasha Zonski brought some gift ideas to the Builders Source Kitchen along with details about a great upcoming wine tasting event this Saturday, as well as their scotch and single barrel bourbon tasting.  If you plan on participating, please remember to do so responsibly and have a designated driver to make the event merry for everyone!

And for the kiddos on your list, give them adventure, education, mystery, laughter and inspiration through the pages of a new book.  Alamosa Books specializes in catering to young readers and knowing what the current trends, stories and popular authors are.  Michael Harle stopped by with some great suggestions for kids of all ages.  He also shared the details of two very special events -one in particular for you Harry Potter fans.  Wanna know what it is?  Head over to their website and find out!

Lastly, give yourself an early Christmas present by catching Duke City Rep‘s production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, opening this weekend at the Cell Theater.  If you missed it this morning, do yourself a favor and watch the trailer on YouTube.  Very funny stuff!

Tomorrow we’re talking about the Moscow Ballet’s touring performance of The Nutcracker and an extremely rare, world-class exhibit featuring the Spanish artist Goya opens at the Santa Fe Museum.  We’re talking to museum director tomorrow to find out about this incredible honor bestowed on Santa Fe.

Buenos noches, amigos!
