There is something special and very unique happening right here in New Mexico. It the “Renaissance to Goya — A Gallery of Paintings and Drawings from Spain.” Our Chad Brummett from 2 KASA Style went yesterday as they were setting us the display.
The New York Times call it “wonderfully raucous” and “emotionally charged”. It was also called “flat-out electrifying” by the Boston Globe. The national tour of the explosive Broadway hit “American Idiot” is taking the stage at Popejoy Hall with a cast that includes our guest Casey O’Farrell.
The final Toys for Tots collections have been made and the generosity of folks around Albuquerque has been great as always. Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies made their ride-alongs last night to homes around the county for people making donations, and David Romero was right there with them, capturing the giving spirit.
Angel Fire Resort opens for the season this Friday. To tell us all about the fun stuff you and your family can do there are two folks from the resort: Events and Promotions Manager Kalen Boland and Marketing Coordinator Michael Johnstone.

We have a 5-foot Godzilla in the studio this morning. Really! Doug Hotle, curator of herpetology at the ABQ BioPark Zoo, drops by with his traveling companion, a 5-foot monitor lizard.
Something really special is in town right now. The Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker.” With us are Renee Baca-Chavez, the local host, dance studio owner and teacher, and Moscow ballet soloist Ekaterina Uksusnikova.
