Ever wanted to see motorcycles fly as high as 70 feet in the air, this may be your chance this weekend at the Kicker Arenacross Series coming to Rio Rancho. Our David Romero fills us in on who’s involved, what to expect and where the winners go from here.
The Winter Bird and Bat Festival takes place every January at the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park. Center Superintendent Beth Dillingham tells us what to expect this weekend, and Marilyn Morain from Wildlife Rescue also joins us with a peregrine falcon.
Cats, kittens, puppies and pit bull terriers are at the highest risk of being euthanized because of overpopulation, according to Albuquerque Animal Welfare. Department Director Barbara Bruin is here to talk about how to help this major problem.
The Albuquerque Museum is hosting about 100 paintings, sculptures and photographs by 43 African-American artists from the premier collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Museum educator Jessica Coles tells us more than half of the objects in the African-American Art in the 20th Century exhibit are being shown for the first time.
Gospel music has long been an influence on the African american community and its artists, which is why gospel is tying in to the new exhibit at the Albuquerque museum. Rosalind Jones, organizer of the Evening of Gospel Music, joins us along with some of the performers in the Jan. 16 event.

It’s a big weekend for comic book fans. Albuquerque Comic Con kicks off this afternoon at 2 p.m. with some performances, a parade and a special launch party at Q Bar. There will also be celebrity guests like actor Corey Feldman, Star Trek’s Jonathan Frakes and Adam Baldwin, to name a few.
