Keepin’ families fit

We talk a lot about exercise on 2 KASA Mornings.  Strengthening our bodies, strengthening our diets… we’re adding strength training for relationships to our list of workouts.

Ana Loiselle is a relationship coach and has some great tips for couples in need of assistance outside their nucleus.  This can often be a touchy subject, as no one really wants to admit that their relationships need work.  But let’s face it -relationships are work.  Nothing worthwhile is easy and that includes love.  She recommends that we approach the discussion with an open, honest heart.  We also need to approach our partners with love and with the manifest desire to keep the relationship healthy and thriving.  Ana also stresses the fact that there are numerous ways to get help -not just counseling.  There are support groups, classes and alternative treatments to keep couples together.  Do the research, and a little soul-searching… above all, to quote Shakespeare, “To thine own self be true.”

On to a more traditional workout set -it’s Wednesday, which means it’s Wellness Wednesday with Sports and Wellness.  Fit coach Victoria Collins is with us talking about the importance of proper core training.  It’s not just about a flat stomach, folks.  Proper core training includes strengthening and conditioning of your back as well.  A balanced, strong core will help prevent injury, increase agility, balance and well-being.  They offer a number of classes at Sports and Wellness that can get you on the right track to a better you.
