Bow wow WOW!

I can’t stress enough how great the need is for Santa Fe Animal Humane.  Unfortunately, we face a massive problem with overpopulation of pets in New Mexico.  This often leads to abandonment, abuse and worse.  Every time SF Humane is in the studio, they share remarkable journeys of animals that have faced terrible circumstances, yet are eager to meet their loving, forever families.

My parents have been Chihuahua people for years, primarily due to the fact that their dander doesn’t cause allergies.  Therefore, I have a special place in my heart for the toy breed.  I met a sweet, somewhat shy little guy on the show today named Roo.  Unfortunately, when SF Humane took this little guy under their care, he was missing is front leg and had an injured and improperly healed matching appendage.  Through surgical procedures, rehab and love, this little guy is almost ready to find a loving home he can call his own.

This is just one of the many animals SF Humane tends to and rehabilitates.  I strongly encourage you to visit their website to learn more about the organization and how you can help -whether it be volunteering, making a donation, fostering an animal, or giving one a permanent residence.

I mean, seriously… how could you say “no” to this face?
