Im not sure if all of you know, but the Historic Kimo Theatre has a lot of awesome free events happening weekly. Its a great thing to do during the holiday season, especially if you have family in town and you want to entertain them for free! Talk about showing people one of New Mexico’s gems. They have a free movie screening tonight at 7:00PM (playing ’3:10 to Yuma’) but also have events almost every day of the week. For more info go to http://www.kimotickets.com/ and check the KASA calendar on the home page for more local events!
Things to do
This is right about the time when people are rallying up all the family members from out of town and starting to prep the Thanksgiving Day meal. I know it can be a stressful time, but it’s also a time to reflect and show gratitude for the past year. This year has surely gone by in a blink of an eye, and I for one am very grateful for all that 2012 has brought me thus far.
In the office, the holiday spirit is alive and well too! We are shooting commercials for the holiday season!
Here I am getting direction for the commercials that are going to aired during the holidays. Look out for them!
And while you have family in town, be sure to show them all the great things New Mexico has to offer.
Maybe go to the many museum exhibits that are going to be open this weekend. For example, the awesome ‘Machine Wilderness’ exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. See the story I did on it here
Or be sure to go see one of the awesome movies that come out this week.
Either way, be sure to find something fun to do with the family after everyone’s bellies are full! Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and happy shopping on Black Friday. I will be at the Coronado Mall passing out gift bags so come stop by!
