I want to give a shout out to Albuquerque High School Student Senate for taking the initiative to get their fellow students to sign the W8T 2 TXT pledge! I went and saw them in action and look what I found.

A line of students taking the lunch break to sign the pledge to W8T 2 TXT.

In a matter of a week they have well over 75 signatures!

And they have way more to come. To be continued…

W8T 2 TXT Event at La Cueva High School

As part of our important W8T 2 TXT Campaign, we try to reach out to teens and young adults who are more prone to text and drive.  Last week we were invited by a student group, Teens in Prevention, at La Cueva High School. This awesome group of high school students try to educate their fellow students  on some of the potentially dangerous issues that most high schoolers face. Texting and driving is one of them.

Last week we threw some what of a Pep Rally to get people to sign the pledge to not text and drive and to pump people up for their annual Winter Ball.

To prequel the rally, I went to La Cueva and helped say their daily announcements…

KRQE News 13 Anchor, Jessica Garate, joined me to talk to the kids about the dangers of texting and driving while hooking them up with our awesome thumb bands.

Here I am ordering lunch. Lunch has surely changed since I was in school. They had like Chickfila, Dions, and whole bunch of other well known restaurants. Things have surely changed from just having one option.

And finally here is the banner of students who signed the pledge to not text and drive.

Thank you La Cueva High School for inviting us and spreading the message to not text and drive!
